Job Summary:
The Group Services department is tasked with the sales, management and execution for a variety of events social and corporate. The Group Service & Events Assistant will be essential in helping to achieve monthly sales by providing support and organization to the team. This positions central role is to track and analyze the departments tour and event activities by updating our CRM with accurate and current information.
Qualifications
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow up: Correspond and communicate with existing and potential clients with any necessary marketing collateral and venue information, including photos, proposals, bids, contracts, confirmations, etc. in a timely manner
- Lead Management: Researching, distributing, and monitoring new leads from referrals to Sales team
- Relationship Building: Create and sustain a positive and productive relationship with internal departments, vendors, clients
- Administrative Support: Generate and maintain weekly team sales reports, manage schedules, calendars, maintain client database (CRM)
- Attend weekly meetings/conference calls with operations management and sales team to review upcoming events weekly and meeting minutes for sales team
- Conduct insightful and engaging Venue Tours that address each clients/events individual needs
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 1-2 years of event management experience
- 1-2 years of sales experience
- Ideal candidate will be a self-starter and creative problem solver
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel, CRM systems
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience required:
- 1-2 years of event management and sales experience
