We have an excellent opportunity for a Group Logistics Leader to join our rapidly growing team. Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Group Logistics Leader provides oversight of receipt, storage and dispatch of products. This position is also responsible for ensuring safety, quality and productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running efficiently.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure employee compliance to Safety, Quality, Attendance and Performance policies outlined by FITESA.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in shipping, receiving and assuring quality of product.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Recommend employee’s for awards and disciplinary actions.
  • Organize and maintain raw material, finished goods inventory and scrap storage area.
  • Responsible for scheduling shipments and receipts and generating all related documents and entering all the corresponding transactions into the system. Create bills of lading for all types of shipments, including finished goods, inter-plant or inter-company, warehouse transfers or returns to vendors. Create all appropriate shipping documents, and ensure all information required is included with the shipment
  • Work with freight forwarders/customs brokers to schedule international shipments.
  • Manage relationship with and performance of 3PL, evaluate carriers and provide input for the preferred carrier list.
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach/motivate employees.
  • Train new employees.
  • Participate in Warehouse leadership meetings.
  • Identify and assign daily tasks to Warehouse Technicians.
  • Interface with customer service and planning to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
  • Identify areas of improvement and adjust existing work procedures and practices for efficiency.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments as needed.
  • Provide back-up support for Supply Chain group.
  • All other duties as assigned

Technical Competences:


  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to understand new and complex concepts.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience and knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes and operations.
  • Solid Knowledge and proficiency utilizing an ERP system and/or WMS. (Preferably Dynamics 365)
  • Well versed in the systematic movement of Inventory and understanding of Inventory transactions.
  • Experience with continuous improvement analysis and implementation.
  • Experience with Cycle-counting and Physical Inventories
  • Knowledgeable in the utilization and operation of Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners.
  • Experience and knowledge of Material Handling Equipment usage and maintenance.

  • Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours including rotating shifts as needed
  • Possess human resource skills to relate effectively with people of diverse background.
  • Familiar with air and water pollution control technology and federal, state and community regulatory agency workings
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimal amount of daily supervision
  • Ability to work well with all functions in the plant to accomplish the objectives of the assignment

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

Three to five plus years experience in supply chain/logistics
