Group Excercise Instructor

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for planning and providing results-oriented group exercise instruction in a safe and positive self-esteem environment with members and guests of Bluejack National.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION(S):

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lead guided workout classes for members and guests including Yoga, Mat Pilates, cardio + strength, core, and Zumba.

• Design fitness classes that are on trend using popular formats.

• Update choreography and music on a rotating basis.

• Positively interact with members and guests before and after classes.

• Provide recognition to members and guests during classes to create a warm and safe exercise environment.

• Participate in continuing education opportunities.

• Coach members and guests during classes on proper technique, modifications and form.

• Create and execute a fitness plan for members and guests.

• Maintain movement studio equipment and communicate needs.

• Maintain a safe environment for members and guests to exercise.

• Interact with members and provide coaching to establish rapport.

• Be knowledgeable of all functions of The Sanctuary.

• Interact with members and guests in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.

• Be a pleasant team player with fellow co-workers and leadership.

• Maintain professional conversation with members and guests at all times.

• Attend Sanctuary and company trainings and meetings as needed.

• Communicate member and guest feedback to Director of Wellness as necessary.

• Report any maintenance issues as needed to Director of Wellness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Current nationally recognized Groupe Exercise Instructor certification

• Current CPR/AED certification

• Time management and organizational skills

• Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

• Must be able to work weekend days and Holidays.

• Shifts and hours may vary based on business demands.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing.

• Must follow all aspects of on-the-job safety.
