Overview

Group Audit (GA) prides itself in ensuring the highest standard in professional delivery. Being Deutsche Bank’s ‘third line of defense’ GA have a high internal profile, acting as an independent and forward-looking challenger and adviser to Senior Management. This role provides the opportunity to partner with various stakeholders. There are several roles within GA covering ‘first line of defense’ areas including Investment Bank, Corporate Bank and International Private Bank as well as ‘second line of defense’ areas such as, Technology or Infrastructure functions including Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Operations. This is where subject matter expertise is greatly welcomed.

What You’ll Do

• Work independently on audits and/or on tasks delegated to them within the scope for audits for a specific business/functional area/region and sometimes work on multiple audits at the same time

• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to the risks within those business areas, working under moderate supervision, e.g., in complex situations

• Participate in business monitoring and risk assessments

• Contribute to quarterly continuous monitoring

• Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships within their function and stakeholders inside and outside of the Bank

• Occasionally work on ad hoc projects

Skills You’ll Need

• We are looking for audit and non-audit backgrounds; the key being highly motivated with a desire to learn

• Undergraduate or equivalent degree required; advanced degrees and relevant professional certifications preferred but not required

• All audit backgrounds welcome, including Big 4, securities, compliance, anti-money laundering, and technology

• All forms of financial services experience would be relevant

• You have an inquisitive mindset and aren’t afraid to ask questions until the process is understood

• Ability and willingness to work in a high-pressure environment and deliver under tight deadlines

• Team working capabilities and the ability to build strong business and team relationships

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.
