- Observes and practices safety regulations and procedures, including but not limited to OSHA and DNV, in the care and use of equipment and tools.
- Removes snow, ice and/or sleet from UnityPoint Health - Des Moines parking lots, driveways and sidewalks utilizing sand and/or salt to achieve specific quality, safety, service and regulatory goals.
- Airify, spray, fertilize, mow and trim turf for all UnityPoint Health – Des Moines properties to achieve specific quality, safety, service and regulatory goals.
- Plants, maintains, and prunes trees, shrubbery and flowering plants for all the UnityPoint Health – Des Moines properties.
- Operates and repairs irrigation systems and fountains for all the Unity Point-DM properties.
- Attends Iowa State Turf Conference and Iowa State Shade Tree short courses to maintain CEU as scheduled by manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
Preferred or Specialized
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or two Years of experience.
Experience:
Working knowledge of the care for a wide variety of plant, tree, and shrub materials.
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
