Job Description
Summary
This position is responsible for keeping the outdoor The Briar Club facilities and amenities in a clean and orderly condition. The Grounds attendant demonstrates dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned shifts, and completing responsibilities in a timely manner.
Essential Duties
- Ensures a safe and clean environment by maintaining standards of safety, such as clean family and lap pools, clean up pool gate and main entrance.
- Utilizes necessary equipment to clean areas of the facility, such as Breezes Sports Bar, Aquatics Breezeway, Sport Court, Tennis Courts, Pool Decks, and the Parking Garage.
- Power washes pool surrounding and other assigned areas in a safe manner (safety glasses required).
- Puts water and ice in coolers at the Tennis courts
- Performs minor repair of all buildings and equipment
- Responsibly transports small equipment or tools around the property as needed for maintenance and repair work
- Cleans debris from sidewalk
- Transports and empties trash, garbage containers and waste to disposal area
- Empties outdoor waste baskets,
- Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
- Completes daily checklists on any maintenance procedures
- Maintains an organized workshop and storage rooms in a neat orderly fashion
- Maintains sufficient materials, cleaning chemicals and supplies to complete tasks
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment appropriately following safety procedures
- Monitors area for signs of potential risks, and contact management and/or Safety Committee Chairman
- Interacts politely and communicate effectively with coworkers, security staff and members.
- Proper storage of tolls, equipment and chemicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

- Independent mobility throughout clubhouse.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking in hot Houston summer weather.
- Frequent exposure to hot and humid conditions.
