Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Grounds Specialist to work in the College’s Grounds Department. The Grounds Specialist is a working member of the College’s grounds crew who performs various duties to maintain and assure the attractive appearance of the campus through the execution of daily and planned maintenance activities. The position reports directly to the Grounds Supervisor, and the Manager of Grounds and Landscape Services.

Qualifications
A minimum of two years’ experience in a related field is preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently or in groups, precisely follow directions, work in extreme weather conditions, and work overtime when required. Knowledge of current landscaping practices and experience using general grounds equipment is preferred. Driving is an essential function of this position; therefore a valid driver’s license is required. The successful candidate must have a favorable driving record as outlined by the College’s fleet policy.
