Job Summary:
The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of Keesler AFB grounds.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use walking-type or riding mowers to cut grass.
- Use weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance.
- Use chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees.
- Care for flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
- Perform general grounds policing to pick up litter.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum two years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade.
- Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade.
- Possess a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a NCIC background check.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience performing similar work at a military base.
