Form of workThe Ground Support Technician will be responsible for driving and maintaining the saw support truck, setting up and configuring the helicopter landing zone (LZ), assisting with refueling the helicopter, maintaining the aerial saw and associated components, and assisting the pilot with various daily operations.
This role will work a 21 days on/21 days off schedule with 100% travel during the "on" period. Candidates may be located anywhere in the Eastern half of the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities
Verify truck condition and inspections
Ensure truck and driver documentation
Maintain a professional image and demeanor
Be proactive and punctual
Confirm Jet A fuel quality daily
Maintain truck inventory
Fuel Jet A and saw gas containers as necessary
Participate in daily job and safety briefings
Setup and monitor helicopter landing zone (LZ)
Maintain radio communication with the pilot during operations to include fuel calls
Maintain and troubleshoot the saw during aerial saw operations
Conduct daily and weekly saw maintenance
Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized truck
Be familiar with all incident and accident procedures relating to the operation
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience a plus.
- Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
- Driver's License Required.
- RARE (less than 10%): Sitting, Crawling, Climbing Poles, Color Vision, Climbing Ladders, Climbing Stairs

- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Sense of Touch, Gripping, Seeing, Carrying, Pulling
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
