Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the grocery department, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
- Lead and supervise a team of grocery store associates, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Conduct interviews and hire qualified candidates for grocery department positions.
- Train and develop staff members on product knowledge, customer service skills, and store policies.
- Manage schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimize productivity.
- Create and maintain budgets for the grocery department, monitoring expenses and controlling costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in store management or similar roles.
