Greenhouse Laborer / Live Goods Assembly

Position Summary:

This is a seasonal part-time to full-time entry level position that starts in March and ends in June. The position does not require experience or specific education. Candidates must have reliable transportation, be at least 18 years of age on March 1st 2024, and be willing to learn. This is a physically active, fast-paced position and requires the ability to be on your feet the entire shift as well as move quickly and with purpose from task to task. All candidates must be able to lift up to 25lbs from floor to 5ft throughout a shift. Must be available for designated shift of 7:30am to 4:00pm every weekday, additional weekend hours available on a volunteer basis. The main responsibilities of Greenhouse Laborers are to assemble, layout, load and maintain live horticultural products. As well as to make the supervisor aware of any abnormalities in product performance, health, consistency and appearance, maintain adequate levels of input materials and maintain quality of output products.

Responsibilities

This is a seasonal part-time to full-time position, Averaging 30+ hours per week.
Manufacturing and assembling are done at a pace that is set by the conveyors speed.
Assemble live horticultural products in various sizes, shapes and difficulties.
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment free of hazards, dangers and obstacles.
Receive training, correction and suggestions from supervisors with a good attitude.
Load and unload horticultural materials on and off of carts and trucks.
Lift up-to 25lbs from floor to 5ft correctly and safely throughout the workday.
Observe growing medium quality and moisture levels.
Retrieve and return product labeling materials according to product being produced.
Perform duties between 45° and 105° Fahrenheit moving between hot and cold work areas.
Arrange, move, organize and condense products on the growing surfaces.
Must be available to work 7:30am-4:00pm every weekday. Voluntary work outside these hours is available occasionally.
Position is dependent on candidate's ability to meet all physical requirements of the position.
Position is at-will employment, there is no contract for continued employment.
Promotions, Raises and Bonuses may be given based on merit, attitude and efficiency.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age as of March 1st, 2024
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be willing to work all shifts offered.
Must have access to and ability to text and email.
Must have an ability to work efficiently within a team.
