Graphics Artist

The Boardwalk is now taking applications for a Graphics Artist! This role will be responsible for creating and modifying artwork, logos, illustrations, and other aesthetically pleasing images that accompany written text. Duties will include scoping client projects and using design software to revise and complete artwork projects based on design feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with account teams and clients to determine the scope of a project.
• Conceptualize and design artwork under deadlines.
• Develop brand elements such as logos, graphics, and illustrations.
• Create designs using the Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Draw, or by hand.
• Schedule design sessions and reviews with clients.
• Present designs to clients.
• Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design.

Education:

• Minimum qualifications include: Associate’s degree or certificate of completion from a two-year program in graphic arts or equivalent on the job experience.
• 1-3 years’ experience in graphic design.

Requirements:

• Software skills include proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design-related programs such as Corel Draw.
• Able to perform spot and process color separation.
• Good communication skills.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to short deadlines.
• Strong, independent work ethic, takes direction well with minimal supervision, welcome constructive feedback.
• Positive approach to finding solutions.

Job Type: Full-time.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.
