Job Title: Graphic Designer & Production Manager

Department: Marketing

Reports to: Vice President of Marketing & Business Development

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer & Production Manager reports to the Vice President of Marketing/Chief Marketing Officer in the Marketing department. Performs a variety of graphic design projects, manages the production of various printed and digital projects, and conducts tasks related to the production and management of VISIT DENVER’s visual asset library for use by staff, agencies, and partners.

This position supports the overall mission of VISIT DENVER through the development and implementation of marketing and creative services for the promotion of leisure travel, meetings and convention sales, and enhanced community engagement. The position has a focus on developing and strengthening the company’s visual identity, maintaining brand consistency and standards, and to aid in the overall organizational goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional creative design strategy and implementation of creative services for all internal clients to drive organizational goals.
  • Act as the organization’s primary Graphic Designer for VISIT DENVER’s digital and physical projects, including but not limited to sales collateral, presentation templates, email templates, event materials, internal advertising, etc.
  • Owner of organizational brand standards, ensuring compliance across projects. Ensures the VISIT DENVER logo standards are used properly in all applications to comply with sizing, color, spacing and usage for both internal and external applications.
  • Manage VISIT DENVER's photo and video libraries. Act as one of the organization’s primary producers for photography and video shoots.
  • Manage a variety of recurring annual projects, including two Official Visitors Guides, Annual Report and similar publications.
  • Oversee a variety of external creative services contractors, including designers, videographers, photographers, printers, specialty product manufacturers, etc.
  • Collaborates with others on the marketing and web teams to develop in-house project tracking and delivery systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Outstanding graphic design skills.
  • Excellence in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign); Understanding of and/or proficiency in other design tools such as Canva. Knowledge of Adobe PremierePro or other video editing tools is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of general marketing strategies, as well as a variety of marketing channels such as advertising, social media, websites, publications, etc.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proficient technology application skills; Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access), and MS Outlook.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, maturity, good judgment and capable of communicating in a professional manner with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Efficient and proven organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously while meeting stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment; detail oriented.
  • Resourceful problem solving and follow up skills.
  • Proactive; solid analytical skills; detailed oriented.
  • Reliable, dependable, flexible, and responsive.

Education and Experience:

  • A four-year degree is preferred in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or English and or any relevant field of study is required.
  • Minimum of four (4) year experience in Graphic Design, Art Direction or Production Management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for extended period.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and reach.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
