Graphic Designer
Full Time - Days
** Pay rate up to $69,000/year; based on experience**
United Methodist Communities Senior Living - Home Office. We are centrally located in Neptune, NJ near to highways and public transportation and about 10 minutes to the beach. We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer.
Requirements for a Graphic Designer:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of graphic design experience.
- Must demonstrate a compelling portfolio showcasing graphic design skills.
- Must be familiar and adept with design software and technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
- An understanding and demonstrated proficiency with marketing, production, website design, advertisements, and multimedia design.
- Must be able to work according to strict deadlines and may work on multiple projects and priorities at once. Strong time management skills to ensure work is completed on time and accurately.
- Knowledge of WordPress.
- Front-end knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript is a preferred.
- Knowledge of User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) and web design principles and trends is also preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
Responsibilities for a Graphic Designer:
- Collaborates, brainstorms, and strategizes with leadership and marketing staff to listen to and understand the organization's needs. Will discuss ideas and gather feedback to ensure their designs effectively delivers the intended message and objective on a wide range of print and digital materials that may include but are not limited to web pages, advertisements, mailings, newsletters, brochures, signage, internal communications, and marketing communications.
- Creates original online and print marketing campaigns with marketing staff.
- Regularly reviews functional and visual effects and updates content on multiple UMC websites.
- Coordinates with outside agencies, printers, and colleagues to ensure work gets completed on time and accurately.
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
- Develops media plans and makes placements.
- Tests graphics across various media.
- Ensures that the quality of final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and consistent with UMC brand.
- Other various design-related tasks or duties as assigned.
