Supervisory Responsibilities:
People: None, other than self.
Data: Graphic arts and pagination software (Adobe suite or others), keyboarding, scanning and photo touchup/manipulation. Usage of standard office programs.
Things: Computers, printers, scanners, server access, browsers and file management. Adobe suite, various design programs and file utilities.
Overall Responsibilities:
Design: Creates all print and digital graphics while maintaining IB's visual brand across its family of products. Works directly with the lead designer and collaborates with other members of the In Business team on graphic design assets. Also acts as a backup to the lead designer.
Technology Maintenance: Understands how the computer system functions as well as the software used. Able to troubleshoot, evaluate, select, and recommend technology uses.
Specific Responsibilities:
Idea generation, design, development, and production of graphics within established deadlines. These include:
Digital graphics: Online advertising, social media, email, and PowerPoint presentations
Print: Monthly publication, special inserts, advertising, and support materials
Sales materials: Media kit and sell sheets
Environmental materials: Signage, banners, and event-support materials
Other items as needed include: interactive PDFs, plaques, company promotional items, etc.
Design and maintain a cohesive IB brand experience across all platforms
Work with photographers and other outside vendors as needed
Photographing department stories and back up/secondary photographer at events as needed (Example: B-roll photos)
Attend and assist at In Business events.
Back up to the lead designer in areas listed above
Keep abreast of current trends in technology by reading, networking, training, etc.
Work with sales and other departments in helping them achieve their goals and objectives, utilizing interactive skills to assist on projects, as well as suggesting and initiating ideas for method and procedure improvements to enhance efficient operation.
Assist with web design/changes, social media, animation, and online ad creation.
Participates in the Great Game of Business.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills:
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud; specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint
- Design skills including layout, photo editing
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and attention to detail
- Publication experience, photography, WordPress, and video editing a plus.
Knowledge:
Associate or bachelor's degree with strong graphics focus or equivalent proven experience
Knowledge and training in computer programs/operations, keyboarding, proofreading, design, and layout.
