Responsibilities:
- Facilitates course material development by crafting intricate graphics and illustrations for use in both web-based and instructor-led training.
- Collaborates closely with Subject Matter Experts to grasp intricate technical concepts and conveys them through visually engaging formats. Analyzes and interprets storyboards crafted by Instructional Designers to establish a cohesive design theme that consistently threads through training modules and scenarios.
- Designs web-based user interfaces according to usability standards and best practices, such as Section 508.
- Determines style, technique and medium best trained to produce desired effects and conforms to production requirements.
- Establishes style guides that are used to ensure consistency across products, and organizes work in a way that allows colleagues to easily transition onto the project.

- Graphic Artist must be able to successfully demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Create graphics and animations for inclusion in courses
- Transforms storyboards into course content to deliver an engaging and effective learning experience for students.
- Adept at creating hi-fidelity design mockups-based storyboards.
- Ensure that subsequent concepts build upon prior ones seamlessly, maintaining a coherent and logical course flow as the student progresses through the course.
- Design static graphics, animations, and interactive presentations using applications such as Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, VS Code, and Dreamweaver.
- Proficient in using video equipment and video editing software for the production of video content is a major plus.
- Creating web-ready graphics and animations, with a working knowledge of HTML5, Canvas API, CreateJS, and JavaScript to develop interactive elements in a web-based environment.
- Proficient in crafting intricate infographics and creating complex diagrams.
- Demonstrates a high level of vector graphic expertise in creating icons and characters using Adobe Illustrator.
- Adept at collaborative teamwork while also excelling as a self-motivated individual.
- Proficient in using presentation software such as PowerPoint, especially with template designs.
- Keen attention to design elements, particularly typography, and a strong commitment to being detail-oriented.
- Seven (7) Years related graphic design/multimedia experience.
- An additional three (3) years of experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree requirement for a total of ten (10) years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience with designing static graphics, animations, and interactive using applications such as
- Dreamweaver, Adobe Edge, Flash Captivate, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience using video equipment and video editing software for the development of training products.
- Ability to create graphics and animations for web delivery and familiarity using HTML 5 and JavaScript to produce interactive elements in a web-based environment Knowledge of 3D Tools and the ability to use 3D models in training development for simulations activities.
- Ability to draw complex diagrams and develop illustrated characters using computer software.
- Active TS/SCI with POLY Required
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia is desired, but not required. (Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a directly relevant or related degree.)
- Experience with XML and CSS.
- Experience with Atlassian Products (Confluence, Jira, etc.)
- Experience with the use of version control software such as Git and source code. repository hosting platform such as Bitbucket.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
