Sample Analysis & Material Characterization:
- Establish robust methods and procedures for conducting sample analysis and material characterization.
- Perform chemical and physical tests (elemental, thermal, rheological, zeta potential, particle size etc...) on samples of conductive inks at various stages of the production process.
- Conduct material characterization studies and analysis including spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR, XPS, Raman, FTIR etc...), microscopy (SEM, TEM, AFM, Confocal, FRET etc...) and wet-ability (contact angle).
Data Interpretation and Reporting:
- Analyze test data and compare with established specifications and control limits, providing scientific evidence for data-driven R&D decision making.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting the analytical results and make recommendations for quality and process improvements.
- Develop quantitive models for robust analytics and R&D program decision making.
Quality Assurance Compliance:
- Ensure that all testing and analysis procedures comply with scientific methods, industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements and company protocols.
- Stay updated with changes in quality standards and regulations relevant to conductive inks.
- Support Quality standards, processes and procedures according to ISO 13485.
Method Development and Optimization:
- Develop, validate, and optimize new analytical methods to improve the efficiency and accuracy of QC testing.
- Continuously evaluate laboratory techniques and procedures for process improvements.
Equipment Calibration and Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation (Contact Angle, Raman, DLS, Sonicators, Mixers etc…) to ensure precise material consistency.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment as needed.
Collaboration with Production and R&D:
- Work closely with production and R&D teams to address any quality issues and provide technical support.
- Assist in scaling up new formulations from the R&D phase to full-scale production, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all QC activities, tests, and results.
- Document any non-conformances and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- Preferably 2-5 years of experience in a Chemist role, ideally in the conductive ink industry or a related field.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques relevant to ink formulation, such as rheology, spectrophotometry, particle size analysis, surface tension, contact angle, and electrical conductivity measurements.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
