Job description

USDA RD is seeking Climate Change Fellows to assist with applications from farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses seeking funding for clean energy projects under the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).

GS-9 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience assisting in the coordination of funding actions that begin the grant agreement process. Experience providing with the administration of the grants portfolio and assisting with activities related to monitoring grants. OR Master's or degree OR 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree, if relatedOR a combination of education as described and specialized experience.
GS-11 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience reviewing grant applications for accuracy to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory guidelines. Experience assisting with completion of grant program evaluations to ensure the programs effectively carried out and consistent with National or State policy and procedures. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR a combination of education as described and specialized experience.
