About the Position
About the Grants Administrator RoleThe role is located at the office headquarters in Bentonville, AR.The primary duty of the Grants Administrator is to provide administrative support to the grants management function and process, from grant approval through payment. In addition to philanthropic grants, strategic initiatives are advanced through a broad set of tools, including investment and advocacy.The Grants Administrator will bring strong organizational, data management, and financial accounting skills and a service orientation. With a rapidly changing landscape, the Grants Administrator must be resourceful and comfortable with uncertainty. This role has high growth potential as the position includes on-the-job training in grant-making.
Responsibilities
The Philanthropy team also periodically works in collaboration with other departments of Ingeborg, including Investments, Community and External Affairs, and Operations.
Role Duty Detail
• Coordinate the grants management process from grant approval through payment. Process payments throughout grant and contract lifecycles.
• Assist with general correspondence with key internal and external stakeholders, creating and updating grant management and accounting system records.
• Support processes and projects related to budget tracking, data reporting, grantee due diligence, reoccurring gifts, and IT system updates.
• Generate grant agreements, contractor services agreements, and related investment loan documents.
• Review grants and contract records before issuing payments to ensure legal and programmatic documents are approved, complete data entry, and meet payment stipulations.
• Assist attorneys with legal research related to strategic initiatives and manage knowledge documentation for legal considerations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree. Advanced degrees and/or professional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of five years of direct, hands-on experience in grants administration or operations involving detail-oriented work within a parallel industry
• Proactive and collaborative worker excited to contribute to a highly productive and fast-paced environment.
• Preferred experience working in a start-up or smaller-sized companies in a role requiring a high level of client service and project management.
• Prior experience working in a non-profit organization and proficiency using grant management software (ex. Salesforce, EveryAction, or SmartSimple Amplify for Grantmakers) is a plus.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting to boards and/or top-level executives a plus.
