Grant Coordinator

The coordinator is a key individual whose responsibilities mainly involve coordinating activities for the center to increase access and services for individuals seeking treatment for opioid addiction. To increase patient referrals to the program.

Key responsibilities of the Grant Coordinator

• Serve as a liaison between the organization and the funders
• Develop effective interviewing strategies for conducting patient interviews.
• Travel to local agencies, hospitals, etc to bring awareness of the program and to create an open network of referrals to the program. Must have reliable transportation.
• Gathers and presents accurate data on the project’s success and outcomes
• Organize and provide events such as Narcan Awareness, Community Education on Addiction, Overdose Awareness, etc.
• Provide detailed monthly reports to the funders and the management with respect to the organization's and the grant's progress
• Monitors paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs
• Provide team support in other areas when needed such as answering phones, and providing direct patient care (intake assessments, etc.) when needed.
• Develop rapport with patients easily.

• Professional appearance, ability to present information and represent the Center.
• Experience working in a Medication Assisted Treatment program is preferred.

Educational Background

For the position of a Grant Coordinator, a job seeker must comply with the educational qualification requirements of the employer. A bachelor's degree (BA) in the human service field (counseling, psychology, social work, etc.) is the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for this position. It is advantageous if the candidate has a minimum of two years of professional experience related to this position. Obtaining addiction certification or a master’s degree certainly adds more value to the profile. The salary is negotiable based on the education and experience of the candidate.

Salary Details

The Grant Coordinator is an hourly paid employee. Additionally, an employee may get a bonus based on performance or yearly allocation. Employees that receive additional education (MA degree) or certification as an addiction counselor (ADC) may receive additional compensation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $41,600.00 per year
