South Umpqua High School has an opening for a Graduation Coach (TOSA) for the 24/25 school year.
JOB GOAL: The primary function of the Graduation Coach is to connect students to our schools and programs to support their progress toward graduation. Working under the direction of the building principal to advise and support students at risk of not graduating, the Graduation Coach will consult with students, teachers and parents to identify developmental needs and design instructional programs in order to guide students on a path toward graduation. In addition, the Graduation Coach collaborates with school staff to provide social/emotional supports and the integration of mental health services. The Graduation Coach implements credit recovery systems and develops processes for early identification of students who need extra supports for graduation. The Graduation Coach also provides academic interventions according to learning theories and the educational philosophy and programs of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a valid Oregon Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement and authorization for the assignment.
- Three years' experience working with students at any level
- experience working with at-risk students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and other agencies.
