Graduate Teaching Fellow
Position Summary:
The Mathematics Department at NDSU invites applications by mathematics graduate students as Graduate Teaching Fellows. Teaching fellows are r esponsible for performing teaching or teaching-related duties to assist faculty members and lecturers.
Duties include teaching two classes (usually Math 98 - Math 129) as primary instructors each semester, or performing similar duties as directed by the chair of the mathematics department.
Required Skills/Experience:
These skills are critical to the everyday activities of this position
Preferred Skills/Experience: These skills are not required but are very helpful in rare occurrences.
Hours:
20 hours/week

- Current GTA and enrolled as a graduate student in the mathematics department at NDSU.
- Successfully completed all written preliminary examinations.
- Successfully taught at least one course as primary instructor.
- Exhibits progression the graduate program.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- A strong record or demonstrated potential of high-quality teaching.
- Taught one or more courses as preliminary instructor.
