Graduate Intern - IT Clinical Supply Chain and Planning
As a Gilead intern you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company's mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities and local community volunteer programs.
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in the design and implementation of IT systems that support accurate demand projections and supply optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements for demand forecasting and supply planning processes.
  • Support the monitoring and analysis of Supply Chain data to identify technical areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of IT systems that facilitate the coordination of clinical trial supplies.
  • Assist in managing IT tools for tracking and ensuring timely delivery of clinical supplies to trial sites.
  • Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from Supply Chain data, driving process optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine IT solutions that align with Supply Chain goals.
  • Collaborate with the PMO team to support project tracking, documentation, and reporting from an IT standpoint.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules, milestones, and deliverables related to IT projects.
  • Showcase your work with a final poster board presentation near the conclusion of your internship

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's/Masters/MBA/PhD program at an accredited US based university or college
  • Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student
  • Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace
  • Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative software development practices.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, enhancing the ability to contribute to PMO activities.
  • Prior participation in hackathons, coding competitions, or Supply Chain-related projects showcasing your technical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and their implications on handling Supply Chain and clinical trial data.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into IT solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
  • Familiarity with IT systems used in Supply Chain management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to bridge the gap between IT and business teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in Clinical Supply Chain operations and technology's role in optimizing processes.

The expected hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $55.00.
Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including education level and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
Benefits include paid company holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees.
