DeVine is looking to hire a remote, part-time, Instructor to teach one Critical Thinking and Ethical Decision Making course, for the Winter 2024 quarter.
The Graduate Instructor, Statistics and Design of Experiments, will be leading remote instruction and U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the client base. If you meet or exceed the below requirements then please apply!
Course Description:
This course covers fundamentals of experimental design, analysis of categorical data, the general linear model, and regression. Students will learn how to set and analyze experiments using basic experimental design starting with two-sample methods and advancing to designs such as factorials, fractional factorials, and randomized block designs. Designs appropriate for human research (such as repeated measure designs) and /or large scale simulation experiments (such as Latin hypercube designs) are included. Parametric and nonparametric approaches are compared and contrasted. Datasets and motivational examples are drawn from recent research.
Minimum Technical Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Probability and Statistics, Operations Research, or a closely related academic field, with a strong emphasis on probability and statistics
- 3+ years’ Department of Defense (DoD) experience in a Data Analysis environment
- 5+ years’ experience teaching technical courses in a graduate, resident environment
- 5+ years’ experience teaching Probability and Statistics at the undergraduate or graduate degree level
- Must have hands-on experience in developing statistical analysis techniques, which is demonstrated by their publication in a research sponsored or academically sanctioned technical report, or in a refereed journal of Probability and Statistics, Operations Research, or Management Science
