PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will interchange and train in both builder and operator positions of the Clamp Crew.
- Responsible for clamp operation and building/gluing procedures.
- Responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing product to prevent bad product leaving the clamp area.
- Perform routine quality checks using pin depth gage, calipers and tape measure.
- Responsible for machine set-up and all phases of production throughout the shift.
- Track and record all daily production activity.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery so as to meet daily production requirements.
- Maintain high level of quality production by working to tolerance specifications of + ½ millimeters.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance as needed.
- Participate and lead in the instruction/training of new employees.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Good overall work record, including a satisfactory attendance record and self-motivation
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Math skills
- Ability to read/write
- Ability to operate various tools
- Ability to work in a team environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- May be required to frequently lift up to 25 lbs
- Hand dexterity and strength
- Overtime is required, including weekends
- May be required to work a flexible schedule
