Position requires a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field. Previous experience in sales or service of group accounts or knowledge of the insurance industry preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires strong computer skills working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills; the ability to work in a team environment; and the ability to resolve problems using independent judgment.
Position also requires the use of a well-maintained vehicle manufactured by Chrysler, Ford, or General Motors while acting as a representative of Delta Dental of Michigan externally.

Job Summary:
To support the Government Programs account management team in the sale, implementation, service, and retention of dental customers.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as a point of contact for Account Managers and various internal departments to provide service, troubleshoot, and quickly resolve issues.
- Maintains well established working relationships with Account Management team and internal departments within Delta Dental.
- Organizes, coordinates, and prepares for activities related to implementations, finalizing renewals, negotiations, underwriting involvement, and participation in benefit fairs and client meetings.
- Supports business development efforts in anticipation of new partnerships, programs, or benefit designs.
- Assists in the formation of creative marketing materials and formal proposals upon Account Manager's request.
- Assists and participates in external events, presentations, or functions in support of client sales and marketing strategies.
- Prepares annual reports, periodic standard and special reports as requested for Account Managers, clients, and internal customers. Transmits the reports by required due dates.
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
