Tri-Pac, Inc. a contract development and manufacturing company (CDMO) specializing in liquid and aerosol filling for personal care and pharmaceutical marketers, is seeking an experienced GMP Supervisor for immediate addition to our fast growing team. The position is in South Bend, Indiana.
Job Description:
The Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Supervisor ensures that the plant is following GMP procedures and recommends to all Departments and Ownership any FDA required updates or changes to ensure GMP compliance. The GMP Supervisor provides direction, training, prioritization to projects and process improvements to the Cleaning Department work crew ensuring that cleaning requirements are met and GMP procedures are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the plant.
- Develop an FDA GMP cleaning regime/schedule with cleaning crew.
- Supervise the Cleaning Supervisor and plant for GMP compliance.
- Monitor and manage the cleaning room, all cleaning supplies and ordering of supplies.
- Oversee the cleaning of production lines and common areas.
- Coordinate GMP changes with Operations Departments.
- Conduct GMP tours to identify violations and oversee audits.
- When violations are discovered, identify root cause, and provide options and solutions for compliance.
- Assists in updating SOP’s and Work Instructions in accordance with GMP.
- Assists in the cleaning and maintaining of all equipment and parts (both in-place and disassembled parts), and other cleaning duties as necessary.
- Must be flexible with working off-hours and weekends as necessary in preparation of audits, customer visits or new projects.
Education and/or Experience
- 2-4 years of FDA regulated manufacturing or hospital/medical facility cleaning experience
- 5+ years GMP environment as a supervisor required
- Leading/directing a team of cleaners in a GMP setting
- Vast working knowledge of GMP guidelines
- Familiar with cleaning supplies and equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understand basic chemistry principles (pH testing, conductivity testing, basic math skills)
