Join our team as a Golf Shop Attendant and become an integral part of Salish Cliffs Golf Club. SUMMARY:

Under the leadership of the Assistant Golf Professionals and Head Golf Professional, The Golf Shop Attendant will assist our guests in having exceptional experiences at Salish Cliffs Golf Club at Little Creek Casino Resort. Individuals in this position will need to be able to provide the level of guest service desired; knowing that each of our patrons are unique in their expectation level as to how much and what type of service they receive to make their time with us the best it can be.

Qualified candidates should be comfortable with standard golf and golf operation terms as well as have a strong desire and will to assist our patrons and fellow team members. The ability to stay calm during busy times as well as busy during calm times is crucial to this position’s success. Golf Shop Attendants need to have effective communication skills, the ability to multitask and be able to provide accurate information to our guests. This position should also be proficient working with computers and using multi-line telephones. Golf Shop Attendants assist with all aspects of the Golf Operation with specific functions in the areas of tee sheet management, merchandising and sales, and tournament operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Tee Sheet Management:

  • Assist guests to find and book their desired tee times
  • Inquire about guest’s desired dates, times and number of players
  • Inform guests of anything that would affect their desired time (tournaments/events, maintenance, weather, etc.)
  • Ensure proper spelling of guest name and accurate data collection
  • Provide accurate information regarding pricing, directions and policies

Merchandising and Sales:

  • Ensure guests are able to easily find and purchase retail merchandise
  • Properly display retail items under guidance of golf professionals
  • Be knowledgeable about products and their features and benefits
  • Ensure Golf Shop is adequately stocked maintains proper inventory levels
  • Engage with guest’s to learn their preferences
  • Provide suggestion based on guest comments
  • Perform smooth transaction of guests purchase(s)
  • Graciously thank and invite guests back

Tournament Operations:

  • Provide organized, efficient and memorable event experiences
  • Be knowledgeable of all event information (format, date(s), time(s), etc.)
  • Ensure proper setup of registration and other needs of event & coordinator
  • Clearly and concisely communicate with team members regarding event needs
  • Promptly respond to player inquiries regarding rules, format, service needs
  • Receive and assist golfers upon completion of their round of golf

Golf Team Member:

  • Assist in maintaining overall appearance of facility
  • Assist team members in an effort to provide exceptional guest experience
  • Be an informed and involved supporter of the Golf Operation, Resort Operation, and Squaxin Island Tribe
  • Be knowledgeable of resort amenities, golf and resort offerings/promotions
  • Positively represent and promote Salish Cliffs and Little Creek Casino Resort both at work and in the community.
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year experience in Retail and/or Golf Operations
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Class II Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission (must be able to pass a background check).
  • Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance.
