Golf Shop Attendant

Forest Hills Country Club, located 20 miles west of downtown St. Louis, Missouri, is a premier 27-hole private club that is hiring a seasonal retail associate. Established in 1964, the club offers top-tier amenities that include an 18-Hole Championship course, a 9-Hole Executive course, a short game practice facility, 2 practice putting greens, driving range, and an indoor Trackman facility.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills. Position is seasonal but could be full-time for a candidate with strong merchandising skills. Preference would be to start immediately, but we could wait until the school year is over. Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays
- Booking tee times
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) system to track sales and inventory
- Recommend products or services to meet customer needs and preferences
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in-person with professionalism and courtesy

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly sales floor
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling financial transactions accurately
- Knowledge of electronics sales is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, to interact with customers professionally
