About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
Bandon Dunes is a world-class Golf Resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve. A second par-3 course, Shorty's, will open in 2024. The two short courses are 'Courses with a Mission,' with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

? Responsibilities that Await You:As a Golf Intern, you will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:- You will become an expert in our golf shop merchandise, offering recommendations to patrons, and assisting with special merchandise orders.
- Handling sales transactions, including merchandise sales, greens fees, rental fees, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Providing exceptional customer service, answering inquiries, scheduling tee times, and maintaining a professional telephone manner.
- Interacting with guests offering information on tournaments, events, and resort policies.
- Assisting with inventory management, ensuring clean and well-organized merchandise displays.
- Collaborating on tournament and event organization, ensuring efficient operations across various services.
- Supporting ancillary services like the handicapping system, membership programs, and driving range facilities.
- Performing other duties as required to contribute to the success of our golf operation.
- Preference is given to those pursuing a 6 month internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude, professional appearance, and demeanor in all interactions.
- Reading and writing in English.
- Communicating effectively with staff and customers.
- Following verbal and written instructions.
- Visually inspecting work areas, golf course, and grounds.
- Observing players on the golf course and tracking golf balls.
- Operating vehicles and equipment for extended periods.
- Performing mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Lifting to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
- Hands-on experience at one of the top Golf Resorts in the world.

You will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including inclement weather. There may be potential exposure to chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, as well as the risk of misdirected golf balls and rapid equipment movement. Adhering to safety policies and practices is paramount to avoid any injuries.
