Golf Course Foreman

San Juan Oaks Golf Club has built a reputation over the years as one of the top golfing experiences in Northern California. In anticipation of a 1000 home master planned adult living community, the grounds and facilities closed for a renovation project in late 2021. After two years of planning and construction, the Golf Course is slated to open later in 2023. The final product from the renovation will include a new clubhouse featuring a state-of-the-art golf shop, multiple F&B outlets and a fully re-grassed and re-imagined course. Excitement and opportunity await at San Juan Oaks.
This position requires a passion for agronomy & attention to detail. This is a unique experience to be part of a new Golf Course from grow in to opening day. The Foreman will play an integral role in the success of the club.
$25-$30 DOE
Essential Duties:
 Prepares soil for planting beds and lawn areas.
 Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles.
 Plants trees, shrubs, turf grass and flowers.
 Prunes and trims trees and shrubs.
 Maintains a clean landscape environment through trash removal and debris cleanup.
 Maintains landscape through application of mulch, water, fertilizer and grooming.
 Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
 Regular and reliable attendance.
 Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or
crawls; talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs and balances, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 50
pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); near moving mechanical parts; fumes or
airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
Occasionally experiences vibration. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License
