The Sr Global Trade Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing the business level Global Trade Program in accordance with Global Trade regulations and the corporate policies and procedures. This role reports to reports to the CAS GT Director. We are part of the Legal, Contracts and Compliance organizations supporting the CAS product portfolios and support functions.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on Global laws and regulations pertaining to the export controls and sanctions regulations with regards to Products, Software, and Technology transfers, sales and services
  • Build and maintain an effective, risk adjusted trade compliance program at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Perform Restricted Party Screening and Enhanced Due Diligence processes and identify improvements as necessary
  • Design and deploy efficient, effective tools and/or control systems, leveraging automation where possible
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners on export controls of technology, software-as-a-service and products
  • Responsible for incident management, identifying gaps, ensuring remediation and continually improving metrics, as well as leading or participating in investigations & disclosures
  • Contribute to periodic reporting on export controls to multiple reporting channels
  • Participates in and influences RTX/Collins/CAS GT councils
  • Partner with site level leadership while providing necessary guidance, promoting ethical behavior to meet business expectations
  • Participate and provide input on new business proposals
  • Lead a team of Global Tradeprofessionals operating across a complex regulatory and systems landscape

Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Regulatory knowledge and proven application of Export Controls and Sanctions regulations to business environments
  • Knowledge about United States economic sanctions regulations, with particular emphasis on any of the following the Office of Foreign Assets (OFAC) sanctions, Department of Commerce, or Bureau of Industry Security (BIS) encryption exception
  • Ability to promote a strategy and motivate change to transform organizations
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills to inspire trust and effectively build relationships
  • Proven experience in driving decisions and results in a highly complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated program/product knowledge and general knowledge of technology transfer requirements and restrictions
  • Experience ing intangible technology transfers and software-as-a-service are a plus
  • Project management experience
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, strategic analysis and planning

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
