Onsite - This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York on a full-time basis.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing projects and processes in one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain Organization : manufacturing operations, Supply Chain system and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management.
As a Global Supply Chain Manager, you will also be responsible for developing operational plans or new processes, in support of the organization’s business strategies with a direct impact on the organization's overall business results
What You'll Do
Executes deliverables in support of the Supply Chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
Ability to understand and assess complex Supply Chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.
Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions

Your Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or another Business-related field with 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience.
Prior experience with varied Supply Chain office and floor assignments
Multi plant and/or multi-functional experience
Experience/knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
High functional capability with Supply Chain floor systems – MGO, EPS, PPS, VBIMS, GEPICS, WMS, etc.
Strong understanding of Supply Chain and lean material processes; Logistics (LLP processes), Receiving, Internal Material Flow, Scrap, Obsolescence, etc.
Experience with GMS SLT implementation and execution
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time, with ability to meet project timelines
High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
Knowledge of work measurement and work standards
Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes
Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities
