On-site: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis

The Role:

Has general supervisory responsibility over a large group of employees engaged in plant production operations, including Group Leaders, Team Leaders and Team Members. Work involves the coordination of a number of operations involving the ability to make decisions within the limits of general practices and policies. Work performed under general supervision, while exercising a high level of independent judgment.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure safe work practices are being adhered to appropriately.
  • Take leadership role in Workplace Safety Systems (WSS) as it pertains to mobile equipment Performance Standards
  • Monitor daily shipping and receiving activity; including dangerous goods
  • Ensure inventory integrity
  • Actively contribute, and in some instances lead, initiatives to overall material handling efficiency improvements (LMS)
  • Lead team with Global Manufacturing System (GMS – lean manufacturing) initiatives with focus on Short Lead Team (SLT) principle
  • Maintain and expand upon team oriented environment
  • Build relationships with cross-functional Area Leaders to ensure consistent management activities are taking place.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • ·Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience

  • ·3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

  • ·5+ yeas of experience in a manufacturing environment

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain environment in a manufacturing environment
  • Completion of recommended corporate training programs
