Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. Global Security is responsible for developing security standards procedures and corporate building security; guard force management; alarm response; crisis management; pre-employment screening; fraud and employee investigations; and corporate aviation.
Excluding Chase retail locations, the other lines of business and corporate functions occupy what is known as JPMC corporate office space. These offices are found across the country, varying in size and function. They include small rental spaces with 20 full time employees, urban high-rise office buildings, and large corporate campuses with thousands of employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to incidents and coordinate staff follow up, including necessary investigation and risk mitigation, in partnership with Line of Business management, corporate partners, and law enforcement.
- Develop and maintain relationships and lines of communication with key line of business partners and management, attend key management meetings to maintain visibility and open lines of communication, and coordinate plans to mitigate known civil disturbances, protests, etc. that have proximity or target company locations and personnel.
- Act as site security lead, as appropriate. Provide security support for events.
- Manage ID processes, systems, and inventory. Support installation of security systems and trouble shoot access control issues. Maintain and develop key inventory and issuance processes.
- Manage guard force of assignment.
- Perform periodic security review and risk assessment at assigned facility and conduct periodic security and personal safety training.
- Be available for after-hours response to emergency incidents, assist with corporate events and executive protection as needed, and travel in support of department functions.
Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience in a security role
- Business process understanding and proficiency in MS Office
- Developing subject matter expertise in assigned area
- Strong analytical capability and ability to work independently
- Able to operate in stressful post-incident environment
- Strong security product knowledge and investigative understanding
- Ability to communicate effectively with site leadership
Preferred Qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 years of experience in a security role, with law enforcement or military background preferred
