The IFS Global Competitive and Market Intelligence Program has grown over the course of the last several years into the external eyes and ears of IFS-how our customers perceive us and our competitors, where and how our competition has prioritized its position in the market, and what sellers need to know to win. We do this by closely monitoring the markets we serve, how we perform in those markets. We use the information we get from these activities to help make sure that sales, marketing, and leadership can win, serve, and retain our growing customer base.
With those goals in mind, we are looking to build a team that is seasoned and eager to redefine how our CI program functions-in terms of the big picture, as well as the day-to-day operations-to ensure that our teams are armed with relevant, contextualized, and actionable insights across all of their interactions.
The Global Competitive and Market Intelligence Specialist will work with key stakeholders across the business to execute that CI strategy. They'll combine intelligence and information gathered with the appropriate insights from internal stakeholders, opportunity reviews, and external sources. They'll synthesize those disparate streams of information into targeted, relevant outputs for individuals across the business.
- Own the end-to-end operations for the IFS Sales Insights Program (Win / Loss), coordinating with our third-party interviewers and reviewing the resulting output with relevant parties
- Analyze win/loss trends, red flags, and win rates regionally, by industry, and relative to specific competitors
- Maintain and enrich our library of battle cards, ensuring that they reflect the latest product and strategy information about us, and our competitors
- Support the delivery of timely competitive messaging across the business in response to competitive product launches and announcements
- Track major competitive announcements and work with internal teams to build counter-messaging, contextualization, and important insights
- Engage and share relevant content through global and regional channels, both through posts on our intranet and internal presentations
- Forge relationships across the business to validate insights, and ensure that we are able to answer our competitors' advancements with depth, accuracy, and clarity
Overall Required Competencies:
- Experience working cross-functionally within a large business broken into several business units and spread across multiple continents
- Skilled in summarizing and synthesizing complex information quickly; can answer "What it all means" for a diverse set of stakeholders in a common and repeatable language
- Excellent attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think dynamically and adjust strategy to meet the changing needs of the market and the business
- Ability to work independently, set individual goals, and develop a cadence for review and reassessment of CI activities
- Able to truly own your work and input, address challenges, and continually move Global CI, and IFS business operations, forward
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to business administration, statistics, or marketing preferred
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting qualitative and quantitative primary research
- Proven experience interpreting primary research and developing insights and actions based on those findings, even when they contradict expected outcomes
- Minimum 3 years in a business/sales product marketing/engineering role within a corporate environment, ideally within the enterprise software space
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred:
- Experience within the enterprise software landscape, ideally in FSM / ERP / EAM
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of leading-edge technology and business models
