We Are Seeking
Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a GIS Technicianto join our GIS Team within IT. We are seeking someone who is innovative, driven and passionate about public service. As an entry level position in the GIS team, the preferred candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and detail oriented in providing support for the Town's GIS information. Among other duties, this position is mainly responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Gilbert Public Works department's infrastructure assets.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.
This department is currently working in a hybrid environment, with partial remote work. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point.
Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona by hire date.

- Associate's degree in Cartography or Civil Engineering.
- Two years of experience involving geographical information system (GIS) operations, plan interpretation, computerized mapping, field data collection, surveying, public interaction, and personal computer operations.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
- May be required to pass a Police Background
