We are currently recruiting for a GIS mapping Specialist working on a cutting-edge fiber network in the Hudson Valley, NY area - you will be based in Kingston, NY. This is an office based, direct hire position.
Your responsibilities will include working with Plant (OSP/ISP) Engineering to develop and document our client's fiber optic plant and physical network. You'll apply GIS methods to our client's fast-growing Fiber network and customer base. Support plant network planning, market analysis, and reporting.
Role:
What it takes to catch our eye:
Experience in GIS and physical inventory data management supporting communications.
Experience with Vetro and Render in a communications/internet service provider environment with construction is a plus.
2+ years of experience in GIS and physical inventory data management

- Configure client's fiber management and GIS mapping system.
- Produce CAD prints for permitting and construction.
- Work with OSP engineers,Construction,Project Management,etc.
- Manage permitting processes,submittals,and tracking.
- Support process automationusing scripting, programming, etc.
- Provide support for physical network planning and network deployment strategies.
