The GIS QAQC Analyst will analyze, assess, and track enterprise LRS and publication product data management and data quality. This position also supports customer requests for GIS products and performs small task management.
Duties include, but are not limited, to:
  • Spatial data editing, querying, validations, geoprocessing, visualizations, and reporting
  • Linear referencing system troubleshooting and testing
  • Tracking and reporting metrics regarding the health of linear referenced data
  • Assessment of customer needs and customer support
  • Implementation of technical solutions under the direction of the team lead

The GIS Unit provides Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). The GIS Unit Spatial Data Operations Group is responsible for GIS project support and spatial data development, data maintenance and data QAQC for enterprise applications that support linear referencing, asset management, spatial analysis, reporting and other business objectives.
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities listed below, along with the Minimum Education and Experience requirements, are REQUIRED to qualify for this position.   • Demonstrated knowledge of Linear Referencing Methods within ArcGIS enterprise
  • Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS software extensions such as Workflow Manager, Data Reviewer, 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Roads & Highways
  • Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as SQL scripting or Python as it relates to geospatial queries and geoprocessing

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
