Position Summary: As a GIS Intern at YANMAR, you'll be a crucial part of our Digital Marketing team, assisting with the creation and maintenance of GIS datasets for spatial data and metadata. Your responsibilities will encompass map creation, spatial analysis, data management, and all aspects of research, coding, and updating location-based information. You'll collaborate closely with our GIS Analyst to ensure the accuracy and quality of GIS data for use in maps and visual presentations.

- Geospatial Analysis: Assist in conducting geospatial analysis to extract relevant information from GIS data.
- Data Interoperability: Convert and transform data between different formats and coordinate systems. Ensure GIS data compatibility and integration with other systems.
- Documenting and reporting: Maintain detailed records of GIS data sources, procedures, and workflows.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proficiency in GIS software, preferably ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
- Knowledge of basic cartographic principles, geoprocessing tools, and map design.
- Familiarity with geospatial data from various sources.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages, especially Python, is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
