VHB is looking for a talented Geographic Information Systems (GIS) intern to join our team. The qualified candidate will contribute across multiple project teams and provide a range of GIS services relating to transportation, safety analysis and environmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Development, synthesis, management, and analysis of data
- GIS mapping production
- Editing geographic data
Skills and Attributes
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with guidance
- Background experience working with Esri’s ArcGIS Pro and Online.
- Ability to perform basic GIS analysis and query operations
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in geography, cartography, planning, engineering, computer science, transportation, or a related field
- 2 years of completed coursework with related to GIS is preferred
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and Online is preferred
