The City of Irvine seeks a hard-working, enthusiastic intern to perform technical/paraprofessional tasks related to geographic data and mapping in application to a variety of planning, engineering, and administrative functions. This is an excellent opportunity that will allow students to gain experience working in the GIS Department, as well as learn about municipal government functions and tasks related to the program area.
The GIS Internship is part-time up to 19 hours per week and work schedules are generally flexible with the student's schedule.

The Process
The selection process will include an interview and a thorough background investigation prior to appointment. Candidates may also be required to take and pass a post-offer medical examination, including drug screening, to ensure their ability to perform assigned duties.
