Summary:
The GIS Application Analyst (Developer) compiles user needs, develops field mapping applications, and performs geographic information analysis and database management for construction groups to help streamline mapping workflows and create workable, easy-to-use Field Applications.
Requirements:
- Works closely with construction field engineers and project managers to compile end-user requirements with regular on-site visits.
- Develops mapping workflows to streamline repetitive processes.
- Generates, Tests, Configures & Debugs portal & ArcGIS Online field mapping applications for Construction groups.
- Provides documentation, training, and support with application deployments to construction teams.
- Develops, manages & maintains geodatabases and schema for solar construction projects.
- Creates web maps, applications, forms, etc., to be published within a web-based GIS operation.
- Prepares and manages metadata logs workflows.
- Create tools and automation processes using ArcGIS Model Builder and/or Python.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Presents, supports and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
- Develops relationships with solar construction teams and liaise between the technical and construction groups.
- Maintain standardization in naming, content, and cartographic symbols across many maps and datasets.
- Interface with day-to-day construction GIS users as a GIS “help desk,” assisting construction desktop and web GIS users with questions and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree Geographic Information Systems, Cartographic Science, Computer Science, Geography (plus work experience) required.
- Certification Bachelor’s plus GIS Professional Certification (GISP) (plus work experience) required.
- 4+ years Geographic Information Systems, Cartographic Science required.
- 3+ years GIS Web Services required.
- 1+ years Field Experience required.
- Domestic travel 16-30% required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Anticipated base salary range: $77,000 - $83,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
