Job Description
Title:Gifted Facilitator K-12
Locations: CKCIE Area Schools (CKCIE is based in Salina, KS)
Reports To: Building Principals and special education coordinators of the assigned schools
Supervises: Assigned students
Evaluation: As per Negotiated Agreement
Job Summary: The Gifted Facilitator creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social and intellectual development of students.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with appropriate Kansas licensure
Responsibilities:
Implement procedures and coordinate the process to identify gifted and talented students at all grade levels, including review of student data and assessing students.
Consult with teachers to develop and provide gifted and talented students with differentiated curriculum.
Provide resources and materials to teachers
Coordinate the development of student IEPs
Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differenc
Set high expectation for student achievement and behavior
Consult with parents, administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies and other relevant individuals regarding gifted and talented students.
