Gift Officer

     Come join the St. Croix Valley Food Bank Team! We are looking for a Gift Officer to complete our team who is passionate about ending hunger in western Wisconsin. The Gift Officer is responsible for maintaining and building relationships with a portfolio of individuals, volunteers, sponsors and prospects. This includes prospect identification, outreach, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement, and stewardship. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  •Effectively present the case for philanthropic support to St. Croix Valley Food Bank individuals and groups of all sizes. 

  •Identify and engage prospects for individual gifts from individuals, volunteers and sponsorship groups. 

  •Maintain donor and volunteer records with updated contact information, meeting notes, and other key information. 

  •Track, analyze, and report on volunteer and donor data. 

  •Collaborate with colleagues and partners to create, develop, and execute events and special projects. 

  •As needed, collaborate with management to update and tailor communication materials for soliciting, training, and educating volunteers and donors.

    Build Relationships: Builds relationships individuals, prospects and community groups. 

    Community Outreach: Engages with members of a particular community to increase awareness about an issue, provide information, and foster relationships and    collaboration. 

    Fundraising: Knowledge of fundraising principles and experience with fundraising tools, such as donor databases, grant writing, and online fundraising platforms. 

    Attention to Detail: Ensures information is complete and accurate and follows up to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled. 

    Mentoring: Helps others, regardless of reporting relationship, to acquire the awareness, confidence, and resources necessary to fulfill their potential. 

    Teamwork: Works with and helps others to accomplish objectives. 

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL SKILLS: 

     College Degree or equivalent required 

     2-3 years of relevant work experience, sales and/or fundraising 

     Basic Proficiency in MS Office, email and use of the Internet
