GI Scope Washing Tech

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a Full Time Endoscopy Scope Reprocessing Technician to work Monday – Friday who can work cohesively with staff and physicians performing a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: reprocessing scopes; cleaning procedure rooms; restocking and changing over rooms; performing housekeeping duties and assisting in maintenance of all supplies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment function.
• Perform safe and effective reprocessing of endoscopes according to manufacturer's guidelines
• Maintain legible and accurate records of all endoscopes processed for audit purposes.
• Ensure appropriate and safe storage of endoscopes and associated equipment.
• Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Handling of body fluids, tissue per CDC guidelines with appropriate PPE.

The job involves a large amount of time spent walking, standing, with routine lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Education/Experience:

Experience or background in GI Endoscopy or central processing preferred but not required.

You must possess a HS school diploma/GED and a BLS certification.
