Job Description
GGV Capital U.S. is seeking an undergraduate intern to partner with our Director of Talent on GGV's NextGen Fellowship program. The NextGen Fellowship offers undergraduate students access to summer internships at high-growth technology companies. As an intern, you will be responsible for managing this program, from assessing candidates and developing programming to communicating with applicants and participating universities/companies. We have a preference for in-person at our office in NoMad, NYC.
Responsibilities
Program Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive summer internship program that aligns with GGV Capital U.S.'s values and goals
- Develop engaging and educational programming to enhance the learning experience of the 2024 NextGen Fellows
- Identify and communicate with potential speakers and program partners
Candidate Assessment:
- Review and assess internship applications and fit for the program
- Conduct interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experiences, and cultural fit
- Collaborate with hiring managers to make informed internship candidate selections
University Partnership:
- Identify and communicate with universities-including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs)-to disseminate information about the program
- Generate and distribute marketing materials to career services and on-campus ambassadors
Event Planning:
- Schedule and coordinate virtual and in-person events for NextGen Fellows
- Organize networking sessions, workshops, and other relevant activities
Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact for NextGen Fellowship candidates
- Communicate program details, expectations, and updates to NextGen Fellows over email, Zoom meetings and Slack channels
- Foster a positive and inclusive communication environment within the NextGen Fellowship community
Logistics:
- Manage logistics for in-person events, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants
- Select and purchase swag
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute program initiatives
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, including but not limited to entrepreneurship, human resources, marketing, or business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with the tech industry and venture capital is a plus
Time Commitment
- 16 weeks; 10 hours per week. Starting in January (date TBC)
- Able to commute at least once a week to GGV Capital U.S.'s office in NoMad, NYC
