SalaryAn Environmental firm in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time environmental geologist with 2-5 years’ experience in environmental service industry. We are a small WBE owned firm that provides multidisciplinary environmental remediation and construction services to governmental and private clients. Our services include soil and groundwater pollution assessment and remediation, underground/aboveground storage tanks management and waste management, site excavation and development, demolition, erosion and sediment control. Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct a mix of field tasks and office work, on projects ranging from initial environmental assessment and investigations, pilot tests, risk assessment, full-scale remediation, and operation and maintenance.
- Groundwater and soil sampling, treatment plant operation/upgrades/repairs, oversight of subcontractors, construction oversight, well drilling oversight, well log preparation.
- Remedial action planning and implementation
- Report writing, spreadsheet and data analysis.
- Prepare proposals and responses.
- Project Management and Accountability
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Geology, Environmental Science or Engineering (or equivalent)
- 2-5 years of related work experience
- Good writing and communication skills.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred
- Good basic software skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management, CAD
- Willingness to travel to and work at field sites is expected
- NC PG a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
