Geoint Analyst

The Leidos Defense Group has an opening for a GEOINT Analyst at JBLE, VA. This position is part of a large Military Intelligence Program supporting the USAF Air Combat Command's Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). GEOINT Analyst performs queries, assesses, integrates, manipulates, exploits, extracts, and analyzes digital data and imagery full spectrum literal and non-literal), both geospatial and research databases, and various ancillary sources. Translates GEOINT requirements into appropriate requests for imagery or queries using all available imaging sensors or GEOINT data bases. Performs intelligence analysis on multiple sources of data, including Electro-Optical (EO), Spectral, Thermal Infrared (TIR), Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), and map-based software. Performs data fusion by combining various types of data to create a product with an increased level of understanding of the targeted area than can be achieved with a single data source. The analyst must be experienced with imagery and intelligence report writing, know the intelligence cycle, and have the ability to integrate data as applicable in order to provide a complete analytical product.
This position is for a proposal. We are expecting award and funding of this position in February 2024.
Primary Duties

• Completes data analysis and evaluation, geospatial data reformat and conversion, and photo interpretation.
• Performs application engineering development.
• Processes digital imagery.
• Customizes product generation.
• Researches and gathers information.
• Performs customer information analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience or master's degree and 6 years of experience; a combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; must possess a current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Proficiency in common Motion GEOINT software applications.
• Experience in utilizing GEOINT tasking and collection processes and protocols.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experience building scalable, distributed, high availability services; enjoy technical challenges and constantly striving to improve existing services, systems, and techniques.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous AF DCGS system experience is highly desired.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
