Job Summary:
Entry Level position assisting in research focused on inherited cancers, outcomes, healthcare delivery, and disparities. This may be an ideal position for aspiring future Master of Genetic Counseling post graduate program applicants.
Eligible for hybrid schedule after training and orientation period, however some in person presence will be required.
Provide support for research related to inherited cancers, care delivery, non-interventional clinical trials, existing registries, and cancer health disparities; assist in investigating, gathering, assessing, and clarifying data; record and distribute information; assist in inventory control, with occasional guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in research activities pertaining to the Inherited Cancer Registry (ICARE) (more details available at https://inheritedcancer.net/) and other inherited cancer research studies.
• Collect and organize information from a variety of reference sources.
• Recruit and/or correspond with study participants and collect forms and questionnaires to obtain appropriate data from participants.
• Disseminate informational materials related to research to study participants, researchers, and the community.
• Assist in managing inventory of supplies and equipment.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Data Collection (Novice): Able to clearly define the goals and objectives of the data collection task. Demonstrates the ability to collect data critical to the preparation of proposals, the accomplishment of interviews, and client, vendor and team requirements. Successfully performs a basic data collection process within the context of assignments. Able to interface with existing or potential study participants by email or phone. Excellent written communication required.
• Clinical Research (Novice): Can research problems that span several areas of the department. Knows what information is available in the company. Utilizes data collection forms. Has developed networking skills which assist in researching issues.
